Boys Varsity Golf moved another match closer to making the WPIAL playoffs and improved to 6-1 in AAA-Section 4 with a 201-238 win over Penn Hills. With an all senior lineup, the senior scores that stood out above the rest were a couple of 1-over par 37’s by Michael Wareham and Ethan Lawlor. The match took place on the back 9 (par 36) at Meadowink Golf Course. Lawlor’s round included a birdie on Meadowink’s signature hole, the par 3 #11 surrounded by 6 pars. Wareham’s round included 8 pars. Also scoring in the match were Kimmich (41), Tragesser (42) and Fleck (44).
The Boys JV team hosted the 18th edition of the JV Panther Cup at Meadowink Golf Course. The teams invited to this year’s Panther Cup included Kiski Area, Fox Chapel and Latrobe. The Panther Cup is a JV tournament that follows Ryder Cup style match play. Each group played 6 holes of 2-man best ball, 6 holes of alternate shot, and 6 holes of singles matches. Each 18 hole match was worth 24 points. The Panthers came out on top of the tournament this year with a total of 73 points.

2) Latrobe Wildcats – 63 points
3) Fox Chapel Foxes – 59.5 points
4) Kiski Area Cavaliers – 43.5 points
